The Serpent
- Rating:

- Director: Eric Barbier
- Starring: Clovis Cornillac
- Details: France / 119mins (16).
** Preview ** Disturbed Joseph Plender (Cornillac), a bad guy boasting the titular snake tattooed across his back, has traced back all of his childhood psychological problems, blames the way he has turned out on fashion photographer Vincent Mandel (Attal) and plans to make him pay. Vincent's life isn't exactly a rose garden either: he's in the middle of a messy divorce and the last thing he needs his Plender showing up and wrecking his chances of getting custody of his kids. French thrillers are going to be hard to beat since Tell No One, and word has it that The Serpent has all the ingredients, but none of the tension.
