PREVIEW
Shot in just 22 days, The Nines has been drawing comparisons to the likes of Mulholland Drive; the John August (writer of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride and Go)-written and directed flick is a skewed mystery/horror/thriller that follows the lives of three characters (a troubled actor, a television runner and a successful video game designer) whose lives intertwine in mysterious and unsettling ways. The ever-growing-in-stature Ryan Reynolds takes the lead and is said to give a solid performance here.
