The Glass House
- Rating:

- Director:
- Starring: Diane Lane
- Details: US / 101 mins / (12PG).
After their wealthy parents are killed in a car crash, two youngsters, Ruby (Sobieski) and Rhett (Morgan) are entrusted into the care of the Glasses, former neighbours of the family. Although the Glasses seem to be the perfect couple - Terry (Skarsgard) is a successful car dealer and his wife, Erin (Lane) is a doctor - Ruby begins to have her suspicions that they are not quite what they seem. The Glass House starts out promisingly enough as a psychological thriller, but soon the abject absurdities of the script ensure that it becomes a very standard excursion. The director, Daniel Sackheim, seems content to set up a fairly intriguing premise, but never satisfactorily explains why his characters turn out the way they do, and instead attempts to pad out his shallow script with clichéd scenarios and hackneyed dialogue.
