The Burning Plain
- Director: Guillermo Arriaga
- Starring: Charlize Theron
- Details: US/111mins (TBC)
PREVIEW
Charlize Theron continues to choose risky, but impressively diverse roles, as she headlines this directorial debut from 21 Grams and Babel scripter Guillero Arriaga. Theron plays a woman who is being stalked by a mysterious figure, while Arriaga then explores several other narrative strands, including Kim Basinger's cougar, who is having a passionate affair with Joaquin de Almeida's much younger man. Naturally, they all intertwine somehow, while the tone is ambiguity personified. With the calibre of screenwriter and cast, this should not be one to miss.
