Documentary maker Errol Morris (The Fog Of War) sets out to examine the stories behind the notorious pictures of torture and abuse inflicted on Iraqi prisoners in the Abu Ghraib prison. However, what Morris questions is that was this a case of a random act of violence or, as the title suggests, standard operating procedure? Were the pictures both an expose and a cover up of even shadier goings on in the infamous prison? With interviews with those involved, Morris takes 116 minutes to get to the bottom of it.
