Will Ferrell stars in this seventies-set flick as Jackie Moon, a one-hit wonder who uses the profits from his hit to pursue his dream of owning a basketball team. The problem is that the team is from the maverick ABA - a crazy basketball league that rivals the NBA and seems to make up its rules as it goes along. The other problem is that the team he acquires is the worst in the league, and are in danger of folding when the ABA announces a proposed merger with the NBA – unless they can do what is seemingly impossible and win. Andre 300, Will Arnett and Woody Harrelson also star in this comedy which is destined to be a hit.
