22-year-old Raj (Ranbi Kapoor) is a dreamer who spends most of his days alone in his apartment, constructing bizarre riddles, writing poetry and getting into verbal battles with his landlady Disa. Destiny plays a huge part in the love/hate relationship between tenant and landlady and Saawariya follows their dreamlike adventures over four days. Based on Dostoevsky's short story White Nights, Saawaryia is the first Bollywood picture to be produced by Hollywood so there's a lot of excitement surrounding this release. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, who has a unique approach to his films - he creates the soundtrack and then writes his script to that.
