Premonition
- Rating:

- Director: Mennan Yapo
- Starring: Julian McMahon
- Details: US / 110mins (15A).
** Preview ** Bullock plays Linda, a contented suburban housewife with two adoring daughters. Her life is shattered one day when she receives news that her husband Jim (McMahon) has died in a car crash. However, when she wakes up the next morning, Jim is alive and well and drinking coffee in the kitchen. Did she have a nightmare? Yes and no, as the next day Linda wakes up a widow, but the next Jim is fit as a fiddle again. Realising that there's something going on (as you would), Linda tries to prevent the accident happening, piecing together clues in the run up to the accident. On top of that, she must avoid a nasty physician (Peter Stormare) who threatens to put her into an institution as her mental stability diminishes. You would think that Bullock would have learned her lesson after her previous time travel nonsense in The Lake House, but no. At least The Lake House at some romantic angle to hang onto but we never get to know McMahon as now you see him, now you don't. The logic of Premonition doesn't stand up to scrutiny, or even a passing glance, and we never get to know the whys and wherefores.
