Pokemon 2000
- Director: Michael Haigney.
- Starring: Veronica Taylor, Rachel Lillis, Ted Lewis, Eric Stuart.
- Details: Japan and US / 101 mins / (G).
So in tune with the sensibilities of kids is Pokemon 2000 that it's virtually impossible for anyone over the age of 12 to understand what's going on for more than five minutes. The plot seems to revolve around a youngster called Ash and friends fighting an evil Pokemon collector. But then again, I could be wrong.. In terms of visuals, there are few nice touches - mostly CGI - that rise above the standard bland and sluggish style of animation.
Still, my 9-year-old cousin thought it was 'brilliant!' Kids eh?
