A labyrinth of flashbacks, dream sequences and flashbacks-within-dream-sequences, with the occasional hallucination thrown in just to help clarify things, Open Your Eyes is a demanding tale of scientifically induced psychosis. The proceedings aren't as heavy as you might imagine; Noriega and Cruz are amiable leads and the humour is of a distinctly black variety. Tom Cruise has bought the remake rights, incidentally.
