Onegin
- Rating:

- Director: Martha Fiennes.
- Starring: Ralph Fiennes, Liv Tyler, Martin Donovan, Toby Stephens.
- Details: UK / 145 mins / (PG).
Eugene Onegin (Fiennes) inherits a country estate and falls in love with the beautiful Tatyana (Tyler) with tragic consequences. Strong on tone and atmosphere, but lacking tension and narrative drive, Onegin is a beautiful movie to look at but constitutes something of an endurance test at two-and-a-half hours. All of the characters are cold and distant, factors which don't lend themselves to audience empathy.
