New York Minute

Perhaps Im showing my age, but until relatively recently I wasnt aware of the existence of the horror that is the Olsen Twins. However, after spending 80-odd minutes in their company, thanks to the grating teen picture, New York Minute, I can assure you that that is more than enough for a lifetime.
Roxy (Mary Kate Olsen) and Jane Ryan (Ashley Olsen) are a pair of a chalk 'n' cheese sisters. With conflicting interests, the girls decide to head off to the Big Apple for a day of adventure and study, only to meet a whole host of trouble and unlikely scenarios.
Essentially a vehicle for the Olsen Twins to mount another assault on the hearts and minds of teenage girls all over the world, New York Minute is the cinematic equivalent of a feather - any lighter and it would float away. Glossily packaged, the film's steady resolve in advancing the happy careers of its two leading ladies negates any interest from the start. There is no reason to see this film. Trust me.
