David E. Talbert makes his feature film directorial debut with this predictable-sounding yarn. (Is Ice Cube in it? Yes? So, a slapstick comedy set in the 'hood, with a moral 'message', then). Ice Cube and Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) are two bumbling petty thieves who need to raise $17,000 to pay off a debt. They plan to rob a church, but end up spending a night with the Lord himself, and are forced to deal with more than they bargained for. If you liked Friday and its ilk, you'll probably like this.
