Essex Boys
- Director:
- Starring:
- Details:
From the word go this film is a gruesome portrayal of the gangster underworld. It's all about Jason [Bean]; straight out of prison he begins exactly where he left off.
Beating people up, racketeering clubs and pushing drugs. His driver Billy [Creed-Miles] narrates the story of full-on violence while trying to ignore the fact that his employer is getting more and more out of hand. While lots of aerial photography and car chases enthrall your eyes the unlikable characters slowly appear more and more until at the end you don't really care what happens to them because they're just a glorified group of thugs. Alex Kingston of ER fame gives one of the best performances but Billy's the only character you'll like.
