A Truman Show-like take on the nature of fame, EdTV features McConaughey as a willing focus of a 24/7 TV show. The cracks soon appear when his family and girlfriend feel the pressure; EdTV may not bear too close a comparison with The Truman Show but it's an intriguing proposition taken on its own merits.
