Dungeons And Dragons
- Rating:

- Director:
- Starring: Jeremy Irons
- Details: US / 108 mins / (12PG).
Based on the role-playing game, Dungeons and Dragons is a sword and sorcery effort, which mistakenly places more faith in special effects than any sort of coherent plot structure. Birch plays the Empress Savina, a liberal ruler who decides to implement reforms, which will abolish the class system. Problem is, her advisor, Profion, is determined to assume control of her kingdom and utilising his magical powers, unleashes a reign of terror which culminates in a plague of dragons on her kingdom. Content to wallow in a sea of not - very special effects rather than embracing content, Dungeons and Dragons is the kind of fare that only the very young, or very silly could enjoy. Director Solomon lacks any sort of clarity when it comes to his source material and his indecision is mirrored in the performances of his actors.
