Cecil B. Demented
- Rating:

- Director: John Waters.
- Starring: Melanie Griffith, Stephen Dorff, Alicia Witt, Jack Noseworthy.
- Details: US / 88 mins/ (15.)
A sentence you never thought you'd read: Melanie Griffith and Stephen Dorff in a good film. John Waters has not only coaxed two fine performances out of the stars of Cecil B. Demented; he's also made one of the funniest satires on Hollywood since Altman's The Player. The plot may border on the idiotic - Dorff's Demented kidnaps star actress Griffith and forces her to act in his movie, but superb one-liners, in-jokes and gags on the incestuous nature of the Hollywood industry make Cecil B. Demented a very entertaining and pacy diversion.
