This is a film about life aboard the space shuttle, bringing us a moving portrait of the planet we inhabit.
IMAX technology uses an image ten times larger than conventional 35mm film and three times larger than standard 70mm film. The film is projected with stunning clarity on to screens up to eight stories tall, giving everyone a view of the world that, previously, had been seen only by astronauts.
From this unique vantage point, we can see clearly the forces that affect our planet, from within and without: volcanoes, earthquakes, typhoons and perhaps the most powerful force, humankind. Crews also filmed on the ground to show a different perspective of the same event.
