Wedding Crashers

Wedding Crashers

  • Rating: Wedding Crashers rated 2
  • Director:
  • Starring: Owen Wilson
  • Details: US, 119 mins, 15A.

Some people enjoy camping, going to music festivals or a simple fortnight at the beach. Not so with bezzy mates John and Jeremy. Once a year the duo press their suits, do their homework and go on a serious wedding crashing spree. Food, alcohol and anonymous women gagging for it are only a few of the perks on offer. Seasonal business is good until John (Wilson) falls for a bridesmaid at one of the weddings in a big way. So much so, it throws the pair off course and ends a good run, and their friendship. Starring Vaughn and Wilson, with a typically off-the-wall cameo by Will Ferrell, Wedding Crashers has everything you'd expect from this posse. However, it seems this type of humour with these particular guys is also nearing the end of a good run and Wedding Crashers has none of the enduring charm of say Old School nor is it as nearly entertaining as Zoolander. Plus the ending is much too sweet to be wholesome. You will laugh with them. But just not as much as you used to.
