Reissued on DVD, Danny Boyle's screen version of Irvine Welsh's novel is still as fresh and dynamic as it was seven (seven?) years ago. The two-disc DVD includes deleted scenes that work as well as anything in the original version, which remains the work against which all contemporary British cinema judges itself.
