A remake of a film that wasn't all that great to begin with, The Stepford Wives stars Nicole Kidman as a successful TV exec who comes to realise that all is not as perfect as it might seem in the gated community she moves to with hubby Broderick. The original concept, a satire of megalomaniac patriarchy, is too dated to be relevant, and the performances are vapid and uninspiring.
