The Royal Tenenbaums

The Royal Tenenbaums

  • Rating: The Royal Tenenbaums rated 4
  • Director: Wes Anderson
  • Starring: Angelica Huston
  • Details: US / 110 mins (15PG).

One-time child prodigies Stiller, Paltrow and Wilson blame their estranged, feckless and dying father Hackman for the way their adult life has atrophied in Wes Anderson's follow-up to Rushmore. A script boasting off-kilter humour and a sharp eye for human foibles affords the excellent cast ample opportunities to both jog the funny bone and tug at the heartstrings.
