The Legend of Bagger Vance

Golden-boy golfer Damon returns from WW1 a shell of his former self, until the wise words of caddy Bagger Vance (Smith) eliminate the yips from his putting and realign his soul. Director Redford gives it the quasi-epic soft-focus treatment Americans usually reserve for baseball, and the proceedings wind up as quietly enjoyable hokum.
