Sin City

Sin City

  • Rating: Sin City rated 4
  • Director:
  • Starring: Bruce Willis
  • Details: US / 124 mins (18s).

If you missed Sin City on the big screen don't cry - it translates beautifully onto the small screen and loses little impact. Here a combination of Frank Miller's 3 graphic comic-book novels are realized, courtesy of director Rodriguez. That Rodriguez had the foresight to make Miller his co-director and allowed (special guest director) Quentin Tarantino in on the act was nothing short of inspired. And then there is the exemplary casting. In short this is perfected film noir with breasts, beatings and bombs, faithful to its comic-strip origins. An exercise in excellence.
Rental Extras: Fairly bog-standard 'Behind the Scenes' interviews with cast members juxtaposed with original drawings and snapshots from the movie.
Ei Extras: Sin City 2 is currently in pre-production.
