Recently released from a mental institution, Gyllenhaal, the eponymous heroine, finds herself in the madhouse that is Spader's office; hi-jinks, spanking and emotional degradation follow in short order. From an initially promising premise, however, the story tails off into notions of empowerment and self-serving political correctness.
