Superior High School black comedy, in which pregnant teen Mary (Malone) struggles to retain her sanity in the face of parental disinterest and aggressive overtures from the hip religious sect (!) led by vain hypocrite Hilary Faye (Moore). It's John Hughes material with a religious slant, darkly funny, and very timely.
