Stiles finds it tough to gain acceptance in her mainly black high school but manages to confound expectations by proving herself as a dancer. A blend of Flashdance and Fame, with a little bit of Dirty Dancing thrown in for good measure, Save the Last Dance is far less than the sum of its parts.
