Napoleon Dynamite

Quirky High School comedy set in rural Idaho, with the eponymous geeky hero (Heder) befriending the new Mexican kid (Gries) and helping him to run for student president. The humour is as dry as the landscape, the performances are strong, and it all feels like an inversion of the classic '80s John Hughes teen comedies. Worth a look.
