Mr. Woodcock

Mr. Woodcock

  • Rating: Mr. Woodcock rated 2
  • Director:
  • Starring:
  • Details:

While touring the country promoting his book, sensitive self-help guru John Farley (Scott) returns home to visit his mother (Sarandon) and is appalled to find that she is dating his high school gym teacher, Mr. Woodcock (Thornton). John tries to put a stop to the romance and a battle of wills (and muscles) commences between the New Age guy and the sadistic teenage taskmaster. Mr Woodcock's gags are decidedly dated and, like Stiller in the recent The Heartbreak Kid, Thornton looks like he's going through the motions to pick up an easy cheque.
Details: US / 87mins (15A).
