A movie specifically for people who like football and cringe when it appears on the big screen, this is Tomlinson's vehicle from kick-off as he attempts to steer a dire England team through the World Cup. Funny, sharp and self-effacing, Mike Bassett was written for - and, it would seem, by - football fans.
