Mickybo and Me
- Rating:

- Director:
- Starring: Ciaran Hinds
- Details: Ire, 100 mins, 12A.
Set against the backdrop of the 1970s Troubles, this is the story of 2 young lads, John Jo and Mickybo, from opposite sides of the bridge. Inspired by Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid the two become firm friends and make-believe they are fugitives on the run. However, childhood innocence can only last so long in terrible times and the adult issues simmering beneath the surface eventually erupt. Hilarious, touching performances and shocking bad language make this an endearing film which returns older viewers to the imaginative realm of childhood, while providing plenty of entertainment for all the family.
Rental Extras: Some nice deleted scenes, a featurette and a stunt workshop piece.
