An Aussie cop thriller that fleshes its characters out into real, fragile human beings, Lantana finds Zat (LaPaglia) as a middle-aged cop trying to come to terms with his infidelity whilst investigating the disappearance of a woman. A sharp script and fine performances from a strong cast (but particularly LaPaglia) make for an intriguing must-see thriller.
