Just Friends

Just Friends

  • Rating: Just Friends rated 3
  • Director:
  • Starring: Amy Smart
  • Details: US, 96 mins, PG.

Take Chris, a shy, fat teenager with a crush on his best friend, the school hottie, Jamie. Throw in a painfully embarrassing end-of-year party in which the school jock reads out Chris's love letter to Jamie. Let this simmer for ten years, in which time Chris becomes a hottie himself, and a successful music agent for the next Britney Spears - Samantha (Anna Farris stealing the show). On his way to Paris with the starlet their flight stops over in Chris's New Jersey hometown and he decides to revisit his old haunts. Of course he runs into Jamie and decides to woo her, bolstered by his new found confidence, waistline and hair. However, he's become something of an ass in the past decade… One of those movies that you'll enjoy immensely at the time, even if you don't want to admit it later, Just Friends mixes smart in-jokes with the ludicrous to great effect.
