House of Sand and Fog
- Rating:

- Director:
- Starring: Ben Kingsley
- Details: US / 126 mins / (18).
Muscular work from Jennifer Connelly and Ben Kingsley propel this unusual but gripping drama. Kathy (Connolly) is a recovering addict whose house is taken from her by the state on a technicality. A proud Iran exile (Kingsley) buys it, and a face-off ensues between the two parties, with a cop (Eldard) getting involved. Plausibility may waver ocassionally, but this is an emotionally intense piece of work.
