Failed hostage negotiator turned small-town cop Jeff Talley (Willis) finds himself trapped between a rock and a hard place when a crime syndicate kidnaps his family to ensure he negotiates the release of one of their own. Willis is in suitably Die Hard mode, and director Siri maintains the tension throughout. Effective, if not entirely satisfying.
