Exorcist - The Beginning
- Rating:

- Director:
- Starring: Izabella Scorupco
- Details: US/ 114 mins/ (18s).
Renny Harlin fails to re-ignite the Exorcist franchise with this lackluster horror prequel that depends too heavily on its forerunners and stereotypical genre shocks to register much of an impact. Set in Africa, the film follows a young Father Merrin (Skarsgard) who is undergoing a crisis of faith with devilish (ho-hum) results. The idea is sound, but the execution of The Exorcist: The Beginning is anything but.
