Apocalyptic teen angst, in which Donnie Darko's (Gyllenhaal) best buddy, a rabbit-headed figure called Frank, informs Donnie that the world is coming to an end. A weird, insightful and utterly fabulous film, Donnie Darko is a two-hour frolic through the darker corners of the adolescent psyche. Unmissable.
