Reeves stars as Constantine, a chain-smoking, fast-quipping exorcist who helps Angela (Weisz) defeat Satan and the forces of hell in order to free Angela's sister from eternal damnation. Devotees of the DC Comics' Hellblazer series have carped about Reeves playing the lead, but his deadpan persona lends itself to the nonsensical fun.
