A clinical and cold 'love story' in which all four main characters end up partner-swapping, either by intent or by accident. Portman in particular is in dazzling form and Patrick Marber's script, based on his own play, is very clever indeed, but while the film is well made, it's difficult to warm to any of these self-absorbed characters.
