Beyond The Sea

Beyond The Sea

  • Rating: Beyond The Sea rated 2
  • Director:
  • Starring: Kate Bosworth
  • Details: US/ 120 mins/ (12s).

Kevin Spacey directs himself in this long-in-development biopic of Bobby Darin, the 1950s crooner who died at the height of his fame at the age of 37. A long term fan, Spacey throws himself into the role with his traditional flamboyance, but his inexperience behind the camera proves telling as Beyond the Sea lacks cutting drama and feels far too episodic.
