3000 AD. Travolta is the leader of a voracious alien race, Pepper is the last human with the will and wit to fight for freedom. Veering from sci-fi cliche to self-mocking parody and onwards at the speed of light to bloated epic-lite, Battlefield Earth is good fun if you don't take it as seriously as its makers did.
