Jules Verne's classic tale gets a kung fu makeover, with Jackie Chan's Passepartout chop-sockying his way around the globe while Steve Coogan's Phileas Fogg tries to win a bet. It's all good, harmless fun, but there's no mistaking the commercial imperative - this is a film that tries to please everyone, and falls between any amount of stools.
