Transplanted to New York, Cockney wide-boy Alfie (Law) philanders his way through a succession of beautiful-but-gullible women in this pointless remake of a film that wasn't all that good to begin with. A shallow, empty vessel, the film works only as a showcase for Law's limited appeal.
